The AEROLITE 120 is a motorised, single-seater, three axis microlight aircraft in the 120 kg ultralight class in Germany*, UK (SSDR), USA (FAR Part 103).

The lightweight aircraft is built on a frame composed of aviation grade aluminium. The wings are covered with Dacron fabric, a very strong high-tech polyester fibre. The AEROLiTE 120 is powered by a rear-mounted engine and driven by a pusher propeller. (You can choose between an Hirth F33 BS or the Polini Thor 200 EVO. Both engines are are adapted to the requirements of the AEROLiTE 120) . We prepare Polini Thor 250 DS  for certication in spring 2018. It is steered with a classic yoke. Equipped with engine-E-Starter, the classic yoke and electric driven flaps, the AEROLiTE 120 expresses a touch of comfort and luxury.
The structure of the aircraft has been enhanced by introducing horizontal and vertical stabilisers to meet the high German safety requirements. The fuselage hoop has also been revised, it is additionally secured by an internal aramid rope. High quality standard instruments, a modified panel layout, strengthening of the nose wheel, safety improving modifications on the fuel supply and the redesign of electric systems ensure that the AEROLiTE 120 meets the high standard of the German quality label „Made in Germany“.

Testing

VIERWERK is committed to testing the AEROLiTE 120 in compliance with the strict German LTF-L/UL regulations for the European Union. This process guaranties to fulfil the high expectations regarding safety and reliable technology. The testing process has been certified by the French aeronautical authority and therefore complies with the regulations for legal flying in Germany, France and the UK.

Serial Production and Handmade feature

The AEROLiTE 120 “Europe” will be final assembled in series with handmade feature from June 2015 onwards. Every single step within the workflow is carried out by a skilled engineer, supported by innovative tools to guarantee precision, unique in this category. Only aviation grade material as 6061-T6 aluminium tubing, 4130 CrMo steel and “AN” hardware is used for the AEROLiTE 120. The specialist US bolting system allows for easy assembling and disassembling of the aircraft, requiring just a few hand tools.
